Seinfeld landmarks

While in New York of course we had to check out all the Seinfeld places we could find.  It really is such  a classic piece of television.  THE diner is fairly close to my sister Laura's apartment so we couldn't help but go inside.  The inside is nothing like in the show in case you were wondering.  It is a really tiny place with the worlds smallest sink in the restroom. (Peter would have loved it).  We went to this delicous Italian restaurant for diner so we just ordered shakes at Monk's.  My mom is not much of an ice cream fan so she ordered a LARGE coke.  We laughed so hard when they brought out that "Large coke" It was really more like a child's size.  Michelle Obama made a law that vendors can't sell more than 16 oz. of soda. Because it is whats causing obesity in America. I find it funny that we can't have a large diet coke but we can have a 32 oz shake filled with candy bits.  Do you see the problem here?  What a waste of money to make a law.
You know when you get to a new place you ask the locals where's a good place to eat.  Usually they say "oh you have to go to such an such they have the best. . . "  We found in New York that's not really the case. This place was supposed to have the best shakes but really it was just a shake.  A shake in New York is nothing like a shake here.  They are very liquidy, easily drank through a straw no spoon needed.  So getting a chocolate shake is like getting chocolate milk.
We decided that the reason people thought these were the best places because they had been walking around for so long and they were so tired and hungry that anything they would have eaten would have been wonderful.
In other Seinfeld landmarks we saw the tobacco shop with the Indian statue out front. That is close to NYU not anywhere near the diner.  We also found the largest grocery store in New York.  Really it is not that large. It's about the size of a 7-11 but for New York it was huge.  My sister couldn't believe the choices there were actually more than 2.  They had a massive cheese Isle that I know Scott would have drooled over .
As we walked around the diner neighborhood we came across this

This was taken just for Ellie.  She watches the show Wizards of Waverly place.  I had to show her it really did exist.
