Summer activities are always apprecitated. especially when it gets toward the end of summer. We wanted to do one more trip up the canyon for the evening. We tried to get everyone to come but that seems to be getting harder and harder to do as peoples kids get older. Nevertheless we don't get discouraged. We do it anyway. This time we brought up some BB guns, Ellie's archery stuff, and a slingshot. We thought we could practice while we are up there away from all of our screens. I kind of love that we don't get service up int the mountains. It forces everyone the interact. They boys were getting a little better with their aiming skills. Just when we thought no one was coming people started to show up. The Johnson's, the Groteguts, and Scottie's family came to join our evening by the fire.

Sometimes your just have to escape to the mountains for some gosh darn peace and quiet. I love escaping to the mountains. I love that its so. It doesn't have to be a big ordeal you can just head up to skip rocks, shoot your slingshot and cook s'mores with your super awesome marshmallow sticks that look like light sabers. I also love that I can always come home from the mountains to sleep in my own bed.
