Frightmares Lagoon Oct 2016

This was our 1st year at Frightmares.  The Lagoon theme park turned spooky for the holiday.  Brennen was really concerned about coming because he is a softy and was really scared that he couldn't handle it.  I talked him into coming and said that he and I wouldn't do any of the spook alley's.  I hate them myself so it was no sacrifice. The Reeves and my mom came with.  The day was perfect, a little crowded but not too crowded. They had a chainsaw dance group that were pretty cool. and zombies and monsters walking all around.  It was such a fun activity.  The trick is to bring snacks so people don't get too grumpy or sick on the rides.  Make sure you take brakes as needed and not worry about hitting all the rides.  We have a system that everyone gets to pick one ride that they really want to go on and we make sure we do that ride.  Everything after that is bonus.  Its how we do it so expectations can be met without people getting too overwhelmed or hurt that we missed a certain ride.  Also if its too crazy we can hit just 6 rides and be ok with it.

Our 2nd year visiting Cornbelly's.  We've decided to make this a tradition we have so much fun with it.  This year The Zadrozny's came along.  We bought the tickets that included some of the extra's in it this time.  One is Cole's Corral its basically a nerf battle but the bullets are big soft balls and the guns are gas powered.  Its so fun shooting playfully at kids that drive you nuts.  The balls don't hurt even a little bit so there is no need to worry about shooting someone.  They also tried out the bull riding.  That was hilarious to watch.  Everyone got bucked off with in just a few seconds from hopping on.  I watch the attendant who was running the bull and senses he got a kick out of bucking certain people off.  We did everything.  The apple blasters.  You get to shoot real apples out of a gun and hit targets. The hay rides, the pumpkin trail, the hay maze, the corn maze which was a little disappointing because the corn was so short and totally trampled on.  None the less it is always great fun at cornbelly's
