Strange

So I told my kids if they were good at the store they could pick out a treat cThis is what Brennen picks out a large head of broccoli. I asked him are you sure you don't want a different kind of treat?  He said no mom I really want this all to myself. Look how excited this kid is. Such a produce junkie.
He is definitely his grandpa Lucky reincarnated

Sleeping Kids May 2015

I woke up to find all my boys huddled together on my floor.  I was a little confused as to why they were there and my door was locked.  Typically if they find their way in my room they leave the door wide open, they never lock it.  Then I came across this note.  I guess it explains everything.
Apparently something big went down while I was sleeping.  I guess I am just glad they didn't wake me up.

Geek of the Week Sept 2014

Just a couple of Geeks being geeky.  Peter put this helmet on his head during dinner trying to be cool and came across as, well . ..geeky.  Still I love these guys.  Boys are crazy but they are always entertaining

Geek of the Week

Here's another Geek of the Week.  This Peter Pie is so funny with his outfits. He is so particular about what he wears and the more cool accessories the better. He begged me to take his picture because he thought he looked so super cool.  Sure dude, your cool.

Geek of the Week

We have a new Geek of the Week.  My lovable niece Lizzy came to visit grandma's house during the usual Sunday night looking like this.  She picked it all out by herself. She was so proud.  We love ya Liz but you look like a geek.

Comic Con/ Geek of the Week

Scott was very brave and took our kids to Comic Con with our brother-in-law and his boys.  I was secretly grateful I didn't have to go.  I love my nerdy herd but someone has to keep the nerd/ normal balance and apparently I have drawn that straw.  (I may have cheated on picking that straw.)  When the cousins came by to pick up everyone they were in costume so then my crew had to have costumes.  It was a mad dash to the dress ups but they each pulled something out that would work.  I will go as far as saying this entire post could be part of the Geek of the Week for the subject alone.
They said it was incredibly crowded.  But what do you expect where you go to an event in Utah where the kids are free.  There are bound to be thousands of them. I think it took them an hour just to get in.  The poor Comic Con people didn't realize how many nerds are in Utah and they WAY underestimated the masses of people.
When I asked the kids what the coolest thing was they said the Incredible Hulk balloon man. Of all the things that is what stuck with them.
Ellie my nerdiest of all commented to no one in particular in a slightly sarcastic tone, "look at all these crazy nerds here!"  To which my brother-in-law Jared answered, "Ellie, WE'RE here!"  . . . Bazinga.
There were lots of people in costumes and some were actually pretty cool. The boys drooled over the massive Lego city mentally taking notes for their next creation.  Scott and Ellie love the Lord of the Rings display, and everyone came home absolutely exhausted.
Can I officially say it now? . . . What a bunch of Geeks.  But I still love them.

Geek of the Week

Whew, It's getting harder and harder to get the computer to do updates on this blog.  Between 4 kids and my Hubby, it seems like its never free.  When it is free I am too busy to post.  Oh well such is life.
I am starting off with our Geek of the Week.  This Peter Pie I tell you sometimes I think he is the cutest thing other days I am ready for a break.  He is in the grumpy stage that is just frustrating.  He is also Mr. accessories.  Notice the watch.  This boy always wants to wear a watch, when he forgets it he throws a tantrum.
This particular day he was cute.  The cape is a bib from Joe's Crab Shack then he has the scooby doo roller skates complete with goggles.  But hey HE thinks he's cool.

Geek of the Week

Here's our new Geek of the Week.  My nephew Paul has the weirdest sense of fashion.  He got this shirt at the Lehi Rodeo and its about 10 sizes too big, but he loves it.  It has become his go to Sunday outfit. This week he paired with his cool lid and a tie.  Can we say weirdo?  The shirt is so big Scott got in with him just to see how many people could fit in it.
Thanks for keepin' it real Paul.  We still love you and your goofy ways. What a Geek!

Geek of the Week

Here's our Brennen winning another spot in the Geek of the Week.  This kid is such a ham I tell ya.  Anytime a camera is present he is right there doing something to get your attention.  I'm not exactly sure what this pose is supposed to be.  Shall we say its his version of "Blue Steel"?This video can also be classified under the Geek of the Week.
I often have music playing in my house.  It is my release, my fun, my motivation to clean, my trick to NOT have the TV on. (usually if I have music playing my children wont turn on the TV.)  It is just the stuff life is made of.  I love that my children love music almost as much as I do.  Here are two of my biggest Geeks hamming it up.  I'm pretty sure they get their dance moves from their dad but hey they ARE having fun!!!
So turn the music up people lets dance!!     (excuse the bullets and mess in the background.  Just keepin' it real people.)

Geek of the Week

Brennen is at it again.  This kid is such a goof off but I love it.  He's one I can count on to geek things up with me.  The other ones get too emberassed when I do my funky dances and lip sync's.  Not Brennen he always joins in with me.  He is one who knows how to have a good time.  Rock on Brenny.

Geek of the Week

This is what happens when we go out to eat at a place with music.  Never fails. This particular place happened to be Joes crab shack.  They were dancing behind the glass of the play place. What a bunch of geeks

Geek of the Week

This is no one I know just some kid at Planet Play which my kids like to call Pizza Planet. I have never seen anyone look like this that wasn't doing it as a joke.  So the Geek of the Week goes to some unknown kid whom I just couldn't believe chose this look on purpose.  Talk about a redneck.

You can't really see it in the picture but he has a sweet preteen moustache
p.s. sorry about the quality of pictures I was trying to get one without it being too obvious.

Geek of the Week

Brennen gets the spot this week for Geek of the Week.  I don't know what it is with this kid but he refuses to wear matching shoes.  He thinks as long as it has a right foot and a left foot he's fine.  He doesn't even wear shoes that are the same size.  He will often wear one of William's shoes and one of his own.  We have crocs of varying sizes for the boys to grow into but Brennen threw that all out the window. My favorite is when he wears a rainboot with a croc.

I did have to make a rule that when he goes to school he must have matching shoes. Is that really too much to ask? So everyday I am reminding him. . . "What did we say about matching shoes?"  That's his cue to go change his shoes or should I say shoe.
For some reason it bothers Peter too.  Anytime Brennen has his signature missmatches on Peter scolds him, "What did mom say about matching shoes Brennen?" Then he hounds him until he has matching shoes. such a silly thing .

Geek of the Week

Hey Peter pull your pants down I can't hear you.
These two boys were getting ready for bed.  Peter's pants kept falling down so he hiked them up as high as they would go.  The funny thing was they would only stay up when he stuck out his tummy.  As soon as he went back to regular breathing they would fall back down.  This might just have to go back into the closet for him to grow into.  Brennen was just plain being a Geek.

needed a place for his holster

"I'm Woody howdy howdy howdy."
That's what Peter said when he came into the living room dressed in his pj's He was playing the cute card because Grandma Stringham and Aunt Tracie were visiting. They couldn't get enough.

A few minutes later he comes up the stairs looking like this.  He needed a gun holster to complete the outfit but there was no where to hook it on his Jammie's so he did the next best thing.  A good pair of undies is always a good holder for any belt clip.

Geek of the Week

Here he is at it again.  This kid will do anything to get a laugh.  Your a geek Paul but we love you cause you make us laugh.

Geek of the Week

My nephew's just had to try out my new wedges (high heeled shoes for those who don't know what a wedge is) I so thriftily bought at DI.  I have to admit they are pretty fabulous, I just didn't realize they were this fabulous. These nephew's of mine are often Geek of the Week worthy.  I just never have my camera around the capture it.

Williams ego

This could also be posted as a Geek of the Week.  While we were at Moab we went to the dunes to " tear it up" At one point my sister Kate got off her ATV, William who was her passenger always the opportunist took off and tried to drive up one of the dunes.  Not understanding the terrain he got himself stuck deep in the sand.  He was so defeated after that.  His ego crushed he let us dig him out and didn't bother to try the dunes by himself again.
That didn't stop him from riding around out campsite.  After one of his little skirmishes he came back with a dirty face and a huge grin.  As he took off his helmet he announced that "Happiness is riding a 4-wheeler!!!"
