On Sunday we went to my sisters ward. It was 3 subway stops away and 3 blocks away but she had an actual building. I think one of the most wonderful things about our church besides the fact that its the true gospel is that it's the same anywhere you go in the world. There is always an instant connection and feeling of unity. I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
After church we packed a picnic and set of to explore central park. I'd say next to the statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, Central park was my next favorite. There was so much to see and do. It was so serene you would never know you are surrounded by the busy city. Lots of pretty bodies of water and bridges. We were even lucky enough to see 3 brides getting their pictures done. And of course the music. Anywhere you go there is music and performers. There is never a loss for entertainment in New York. We ate our picnic by this cool concrete playground that we tried out for ourselves. It was nice to see families. We didn't notice many families in our trek across New York, but at the park there were families of all nationalities and we felt right at home. In a place surrounded my children.
