Shakespeare Fest July 2017

For my mom's birthday she wanted a girls trip down to Cedar City for the Shakespeare Festival.  We always love a quick get away for a girls trip.  She got the hotel and the tickets (which we paid her back for) Once we got to the hotel we quickly learned it wasn't all it was advertised to be.  Their continental breakfast consisted of coffee.  The hot tub was definitely NOT hot and the pool was less than desirable.  In typical Wright fashion we drove to another hotel to see if we could get in their pool.  The pool was a separate building with a keypad on the door.  We just walked up to the maid service that was cleaning a room and asked for the code to get into the pool. We just didn't mention we were not staying at that hotel.  The sweet maid called up to the front desk and got us the code.
This happened to be a really nice indoor pool with a nice hot tub an outside patio and great bathrooms complete with showers.  We took advantage of this and spent the day lounging by the pool.  We bought ourselves some lunch and found that McDonald's had "Despicable Me" playing cards with their happy meals.  We bought a couple of sets of cards from the Mickey Dee's and took the cards and our lunch back over to the pool.  We did some shopping, hitting all our favorites. DI, Ross, and some cute little mom and pop shops. Some with vintage items some not so vintage.  We saw Shakespeare's much ado about nothing.  It was cute and well acted however I have learned I am not a huge fan of his.  I know he got paid by the word but there are truly too many words.  I feel like he uses 10 minutes of dialog just to get one simple point across.  It was in the outdoor theater which was pretty cool.  We also saw Guys and Dolls and that was more my speed.  It so fun to get together with the girls playing games and talking.  Love my family.
