Hiking in Leeds

For my sister Kate's birthday down in St. George she really wanted to go hiking in Leeds.  Only half of the party went because it really was quite hot and we didn't start the hike until noon.  On occasions there is water on this hike that you can play in and enjoy, this water was dried up for most of the hike except toward the end. There was a deep pool of water where crazy daredevils jumped in from high off the rocks into the unknown.
Hiking in Southern Utah is always a feast for the eyes.  The beautiful reds, oranges, and yellows that make up the rock formations that tower above you are really quite stunning.  I'll never get tired of the variety that God has created for us.
Our first photo op was this tree that most definately looks like an elephant.  Its uncanny I couldn't get over it.
We were hiking with small ones so we took a few stops in the shade. Taking any chance to climb all over the rocks and in the little caves.  It was a short and simple hike but still beautifull

This is where people were jumping in.  You can see where the water rushes down.  This is really  very deep.
