Splash and dash egg hunt
this Year we did our citys first ever splash and dash egg hunt. It was so much fun the kids just loved it!! They did it by age group and sent all the eggs down the giant twisty slide and they filter throughout the Whole pool. All the kids were squealing with delight. Especially Brennen and Peter. They didn't care how many they had just
as long as they found eggs floating in the water. After their time was up they took however many eggs they had and exchanged them for a goody bag from the Easter Bunny. After all the ages had their turn everyone got back in the pool for free play. Did I mention they heated the pool to 85 degrees!!!!!! It was nice. During the free play they threw some eggs back in the pool and the kids got super excited all over again. The pool also provided drinks and snack during the free play.
Brennen didn't really want to go near the Easter Bunny but Peter crawled right up to him to check him out. I think Peter thought he was a giant blanket he could use to snuggle with. Peter had caught 2 eggs one for each hand and refused to let them go. He started falling asleep and screamed when I tried to take his eggs away so I could get him dressed. I just had to squeeze his egg filled fists through his sleeves. He held onto those eggs all day. What a great way to have an egg hunt in Southern California.
